How do I inject my medication?

Injections are commonly required for hormonal fertility drugs. You may need to give yourself injections of fertility drugs if you are being treated with ‘gonadotrophins’, going through IVF treatment or having IUI treatment. Giving yourself an injection is easier than you think. The first couple of times you may be nervous. But before you know it, you’ll feel like an expert.

Many medications are injected subcutaneously (just below the skin) and others may be intramuscular. The video instructions below are for injecting medications commonly used at CRGW:
